Containership transportation requires stable service in keeping with recent global trade increases. To insure highest-quality and competitive service that meets customer satisfaction, Kline carries out a wide range of improvements that include re-arranging/strengthening their fleet with today's most sophisticated ships, optimization of port calls, increasing service frequency, shortening of transit time, etc.
Strengthening of the CKYH Alliance
CKYH Alliance dates back to 2001, its members being COSCO Container Lines, "K" LINE, Yangming Marine Transport Corp. and Hanjin Shipping Co., Ltd.
Under this Alliance, strenuous efforts are constantly under way to upgrade quality of service. Cooperative efforts have been concentrated for optimal deployment of each party's fleet and reinforcement of service loops in response to customer needs, not only in East/West trunk lines(Asia/No. America, Asia/No. Europe, Mediterranean and Atlantic), but in all service routes. In addition, the Alliance is involved in securing their own terminals in major ports worldwide, also making their feeder service network more complete.

Arrangement & Reinforcement of Fleet with Updated & Sophisticated Ships
Eight new 4,000teu containerships entered into service from end of 2004 to early 2005 to cope with increasing global cargo movements, and their future plans includes 5 new 5,500teu in 2006; 8 new 8,000teu plus 8 new 1,700teu between the period 2006 to 2009. Kline is continuously executing new plans for further improvement of service quality that increases their global competitiveness not only in major East/West trunk lines but also in South/North and Intra-Asia service routes where cargo is also on the increase. Ships in operation total 74 with 3,060,879 deadweight tons as of September 2005.
